1. You are walking. You did this prior to 16 months, so maybe that's why you are keeping us on our toes and always busy.
2. You moved to the toddler room at day care. It has certainly changed everything you love to do.
3. Your favorite words right now...momma, followed right up with dadda. And generally when you say them, you say them both at the same time.
4. We have started to have to spell things...so you don't know what we're talking about. The main two that we spell - P A R K and O U T (for outside).
5. Sign language is your thing now with your favorite sequence being "cookie, please". (We are thankful you have grasped the sign, please!)
6. You get a kick out of feeding yourself. Macaroni and mash potatoes are the ones we generally let you handle.
7. You always want to be wearing your hat. It makes dinner time and bath time interesting.
8. You love water - bath time, water day at daycare, and recently, the river. At day care they tell us, on water day most of the kids are apprehensive when they turn on the sprinkler and fill up the water table, but not you. You run full speed towards each and get wet immediately.
9. You are fascinated by trucks, cars, and tractors. When you play with them, you make the engine noise for each.
10. Saying hi to people in the store always puts a smile on your face. You love to see their reaction when they realize you are smiling and saying it to them. It makes me smile that you can brighten up someone's day.
11. You dance to music, all the time! You love it. And when you're seated and music is on, you chair dance.
12. You've graduated to sippy cups without handles. We even had to put the handled ones away because you refused any beverage in them.
13. Along the same lines, you order off the kid's menu at restaurants. You used to stick mainly to chicken tenders and fries. But last night, you were all about the cheeseburger and fries.
14. Our fridge is covered with your art work. We love it!
15. You wink. It's your best maneuver out of getting into trouble. Plus you think it's the funniest thing.
16. A favorite past time each night is screaming out Boppa (grandpa) and finding both of them on our picture wall. Once they are found, you scream Grandma and find both of them. Then you start pointing at your aunt and uncles in a picture with Dad. This is normally when I say each ones name and you smile and wave at each one.
17. Before bed, you drink milk with us in our recently finished family room. Of course, your play room is half of this room, so halfway through, you get down from the recliner and pick up your toys. Then back into the chair to finish up your milk and go to bed. You love this nightly routine.
