1. In August, I went to Atlanta for work for 2 weeks. So it was Dad and Oliver time during the week and Grandma, Boppa, and Great Grandma time on the weekend. From the looks of all the pictures I got, you had a blast!
2. Your cowboy boots fit. The day we figured this out was a 90+ degree day in August, but you didn't care. You wore them out to the stores that afternoon while Grandma and I shopped. You're quite the trendy little guy with shorts and your cowboy boots. (I apologize for the picture, it's the best one we have of you in your boots, even if you are mid sneeze).
3. Your favorite song - Luke Bryan's "That's My Kind of Night". When it comes on, you get this big smile on your face and fist pump. You never want to do it for the camera though - but I'm still trying.
4. Your favorite word - BUS! You think any big truck, van, or machinery is a bus. However, the first time I heard you scream bus was when I returned home from Atlanta and was taking you to daycare. You saw one turning at the stop light and yelled it out. Some days I cannot believe how intelligent you are for your age.
5. In September we celebrated Uncle Dave and Auntie Sarah's wedding. This was the first wedding you really got to participate in and you walked down the aisle in your vest, tie, and dress pants. You had so much fun smiling at all the people.
6. At the wedding reception, you danced the night away. You were out busting a move for over 2 hours and loving every minute of it. It was so much fun to experience the day through your eyes!!
7. To prepare for winter, we got you your first pair of snow boots and snow pants. You were not so sure about them at first, but once we got excited about it, you ran around the house and would not let us take them off. Needless to say, you were one sweaty boy 15 minutes later when we finally convinced you to take them off.
And here you are putting them to use in the first snow that stuck around for a little while in Minnesota.
8. In early October you stayed with your Auntie Nae Nae, Kevin, Niklas, Kate, and Reid for a night while Dad and I celebrated our five year wedding anniversary with a night out on the town. You had so much fun with them and could not stop saying Nae Nae when we returned home. You get so excited to see pictures of the kids now and when you find a toy/book they sent home with you that weekend, you get a big smile on your face and clap your hands.
9. Later in October, we visited Iowa for the annual October Birthday Party at the farm. It was Grandpa Weber's 60th Birthday! It was a fun day/night with lots of people wearing bibs in honor of Grandpa's favorite attire. You loved your bibs and being with Grandpa too!
10. After the busy month of October, I spent the next two weeks in Dallas working. It was tough to be away from your for so long again and I am thankful to say that it was my last two week trip. Needless to say it was Dad and Oliver time again and judging by all the pictures Dad sent, you had a blast.
11. Getting to see you again when I returned from Dallas was the best! I took an earlier flight and raced to daycare to surprise you and pick you up! When I pulled up you were playing right by the windows in your room, so I walked up and got down to your level as I was locking my car. Well the horn beeped and you turned to look and see me. You were so excited you started jumping up and down and screaming Momma! It was the BEST feeling ever.
12. You've really become a big boy in the last month, especially because you're no longer sleeping in your crib. Last weekend we put together a toddler bed for you and figured you would get used to it in your room before sleeping in it. We were wrong - Saturday afternoon you took your nap in there and haven't gone back to the crib since. Dad even took apart the crib and put it into storage because it was just taking up space in your room. What a big boy you are!
Alright now to some fun facts:
13. Favorite word with us - "yeah". You use it to answer every question, but normally we phrase them in a way so that it fits. Lately though, you've been catching on and telling us when you do not want something.
14. Favorite attire - hats. Sometimes you even wear two.
15. Foods that interest you - popcorn, pickles, anything you can dip in ketchup, and bananas.
16. Favorites toys - your big cardboard blocks, balls, and your legos.
17. Favorite person - Daddy. Whenever he's around, he is your go to person.
18. Favorite activity - dancing. You love to do it, which is fun, because when we turn on music you go to town, busting your moves. A close second is climbing - on EVERYTHING!!
19. Favorite animal - moose. He's your mini pillow pet that you sleep with and you love to say "moose" when it's time to go to bed and you want to go see him.
20. Greetings - you love to say hi to people and buh bye too. When you say buh bye, you blow kisses (to everyone!) and wave. It's so fun to see people's reactions and know that you put a smile on their face.
Love you little man. Thanks for lighting up my life every day!!
